For the love of recruitment: 10 amazing quotes

This industry is a people-thing. It’s made up of you, me and the candidates. The lives that are shaped and changed and the businesses that are grown from this are all a result of your hard work and dedication.

If you could do anything for 8 hours a day for the rest of your life, – Would you still work in recruitment? We asked the members of Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) what would be their dream job, 8% of responses said they would want to be a footballer or a football manager, 4% would be a pilot and some of the members also like to become an astronaut.

It’s truly inspirational to hear why our members love recruitment:

“After 20 years I still get a buzz from making placements. There are obviously the lows, but the highs far outweigh these. The market is constantly changing, so the need to adapt to these changes has made it even more interesting year on year.”

“Working with people and really adding value to their lives, the variety of work involved on a daily basis and the knowledge that you get out what you put in – the ability to be successful and to be rewarded well for that.”

With the above in mind, we have put together our 10 favourite motivational quotes…

  1. I love your wise comments about the industry. Clearly you have a passion for recruitment and so do I,keep up the excellent work.

  2. I also love this quote by Steve jobs: If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.
